I know I can't spel but reading? C'MON!

One of my most beloved people came to the PHX recently and I had the grand time of having her stay with me.  Kristie came to town to pick up her daughter Eva and whilst here they stayed with me and we partied until 10:30 p.m.!  Not like the old days when we would stay up until 2 a.m. and then wake at 4 a.m. to go to the temple early in the morning and then go to work and school.  What were we thinking??  Sleep deprivation use to be manageable--I blame hormones.  Anyway--it was a grand time and Eva and Cru had a ball together (Cru would follow Eva around and copy the things she did).  So being the hostess and learning from my mother, I decided to make them a small yet tasty breakfast treat.  I got a simple recipe from pinterest and I wanted to try cinnamon roll poppers out on them so I figured they wouldn't mind being the testers.  Little did they know that I sometimes only read the first two letters of a word on a spice container.  Let me show you.

Looks like it says cinnamon....I mean there is a C and the powder inside looks like the delicious sweetness that accompanies sugar right??  Well it wasn't.

Yes it was Cumin.  I put Cumin in the rolls.  It tasted like a taco roll and I wanted to gag just at the smell alone.  However, my guests still ate most of them.  In fact Eva said it was the best cinnamon roll she ever tasted.  I had to turn away and laugh so she would keep eating it.  

She had three and a half of the mexican spice rolls.  I hoped I had stumbled upon something great but honestly, they were nasty.  I guess they tasted good to my guests because in Arizona, everything should have a mexican flavor to it.

Kristie had a couple too.  I opted for the costco muffin instead.

It was so much fun having one of my best friends here and I am glad to have gotten the chance to put them up for a night.  In other news....Zoey is on the move and Cru is ready for football.
