There are few things that can really get me to feel like a kid on Christmas Eve night anymore. I had one of those experiences here this past week. Zac and I were so very fortunate to get to go to the Fiesta Bowl to watch our Boise State Broncos play. I was going to be ticked if we didn't get to go since the stadium is 40 minutes from our place. We were very blessed to be able to get this chance because of some too generous family members. This was seriously THE best live game I have ever been to so thanks family.
Our seats were in the BSU endzone and while viewing might not have been optimal for the whole game, the atmosphere blew it out of the water. We got to sit by Stan, Jen, Ryan, and Jackson (and a bunch of Stan's friends) so it was WAY fun to be by people we knew and we could high five like high fives were going out of style. The game was INTENSE pretty much the whole time. I was just hoping I wouldn't go into early labor because of the stress and the fact that I felt I was in a mosh pit sometimes-plus I wasn't about to leave that game early. Here is a view.
Our fans blew TCU's out of the water. There was definitely more orange and blue and we were so flipping loud on defense! Everyone's voice was shot after the first quarter-it was amazing. As we all know the game went down to the last seconds and when BSU intercepted the ball with seconds left everyone flipped out. People started jumping on the chairs, shaking each others shoulders, one couple by us started making out-it was like nothing I have ever experienced before.
Stan and Jen stayed with us and were able to stay for a few extra days which was SO much fun. It was so much fun to talk bronco football with others. We also saw a bunch of people from Boise at the game including Zac's old optimist football coach, his 3rd grade teacher (who happens to be the offensive MVP's mom), our old first counselor from the student ward and some of Zac's old co-workers/my brothers friends. It was seriously the best game ever!

BOOYAH!!! Loved that game, loved everything about it! I told Jackson a few days ago that if the Broncos go to the Fiesta Bowl again, the whole fam is going down. He wrote down what I said, put the date on it, and posted it above his bed. Magical, unforgettable times!
I'm so glad you guys were able to go! I'm lovin your little belly. Did they give out free chips and salsa? That's always my favorite part. I usually go and don't care about the teams, but this year I was rootin for your team! (as we watched it on the tube)
i totally looked for you on tv! i had to use my "speed reading fingers" ( you know what im talking about) to scan the crowd for your faces, but alas never found them.. sad. i am glad your little guy got to attend this great event before he was even born. a bronco in the making i always say. i dont really always say that, this is actually the first time. seffan!
Frick. I'm the most jealous chester you'll ever know. I wish with my all my heart and all my little soul that I could have seen that. Jeff and I just about switched planes on the way back from Cali to hit up the P-hoe-nix, as you say, rather than the BOI. Wherever those Bronocs go next year, I will be there. I think I'm going to put that above my bed too. And dream about it for the next year.
P.S. Please tell me that you and Zacciee poo were the couple making out at the end of the game.
Chris would have died to have been there...looks like a blast! I am thinking of you as your in warm sunny weather, oh how I wish I was there instead of this freezing cold place. You look great! It was so fun to see you over the break! Summer
